Protecting Children Requires Action Before Harm Happens
Child sexual abuse remains overwhelmingly hidden in our community—we estimate 96% of cases go unreported. When perpetrators are caught, sentences remain short, and structured treatment is currently restricted to those serving time inside the Correctional Services Department (CSD). Real, lasting safety requires more than short-term incarceration; both youth and adults need accessible, community-based support long before harm occurs or escalates.
